NAMIE TOHOKU OBORISOMA YAKI
This pottery was made at Suetoku kiln in Namie Town, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture (Currently moved to Koriyama City after the earthquake). This is a piece of work (double-fired) made by stacking two pieces of pottery, each formed separately, one large and one small, and firing them together.

After graduating from high school, he studied ceramics at a pottery vocational school in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture. After training, he returned to Suetoku Kiln at the age of 25 and inherited the traditional Ohori Soma ware. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, he moved to Koriyama.
